Oops a daisy

I’ve done it again! I’ve taken a hiatus. This really does not make me look too good does it!

So over the past half a month I have an excuse… I went to Edinburgh for the weekend. Which has spun me out of creativity and motivation, going away just makes you feel so chilled out you forget to do anything!

So my Nano has been lacking and seeing as there is a grand total of 3 days left I really don’t see myself managing 50,000 words. Oh how I wish I was one of those people that could poop out 5,000 words plus a day but alas, I am not. In all other good news I have managed enough, to get a very close to home story, a third written. I wish there was a Nanowrimo every month; although I never seem to make the word count my productivity increases tenfold.

Please my friends if any of you have tips for a super procrastinator, please do share, list if things I have tried and failed include:

  • Bullet Journal
  • Journal
  • Organisation phone apps
  • Trying to write at least 1 sentance a day (this is some advice from my friend, she saw something about this guy, he wanted to get really good a drawing. He made a goal to draw at least one line every day, the theory beinv once you have prepared you work space you may as well draw more than one) did not motivate me one bit. Laziness was to overwhelming
  • Giving yourself a timetable
  • Scheduling gifts when you reach a goal

So as you can see I have tried a lot and probably more in all fairness. I want to be an author and blogger more than anything I’ve ever wanted to do; I just get so stuck! I must have been motivated to be a nurse or I wouldn’t have managed university (though I was without a toddler then). I just need someone to follow me around with a megaphone, making me do things. Do any of you lot have this issue? If you have blog post about this please invite me you way!

In good news I have noticed a recent spike in people coming here via pintrest – if that is you welcome. Especially to read my story’s which makes me so exited its unbelievable! I really wish I could also will myself to pay for tailwind, but I just can’t justify it.

So anyway sorry about this rambling there will be more interesting stuff coming your way… I will be looking at my trip to Edinburgh, I would like to write a post about my favorite short story writers, but that is going to take a long time to research. Somewhere I have also written a baby led weaning post but I think that will probably be my last parenting post (I will mention parenting bits in my updates) I just have found it a little tedious of late (writing about parenting, not parenting, though let’s be honest that is also a little tedious too).

Thankyou for reading Kate x

Haha, I’ve failed those things too 😐 But a bullet journal looks so awesome and I’d like to try it next year. I have a “write a sentence a day” journal which should last 3 years but it’ll probably end up lasting me 5 or more. Haha! Happy almost December!

Sorry I’ve got no tips on procrastination… cos I am one. I won’t do anything unless I’m in the mood for it! Is that Arthur’s Seat I see in the pic? Look forward to hearing about your Edinburgh trip.
*whispering* I think parenting is dull too (much of the time) and I prefer to read/write about non-parenting things 😉

    1. Yes it is Arthur’s seat! (sorry about the late reply) I love Edinburgh (am still planning on writing about it, maybe after Christmas now) haha I used to read a lot of parenting stuff when she was younger but I don’t really now, there’s only so much you can write about with it. xxx

Some day I’ll revisit Edinburgh… or anywhere else in Scotland really… not practical at the moment though.
While I admire ‘mum bloggers’ I don’t want to be one 😉
